Twitter – Understanding Profiles, Pictures & USPS
Twitter is one of the most powerful social platforms in the world. This was social platform used to help Obama through both presidential elections. Artists are putting themselves in positions where they don’t need the record labels and others are firing their managers (thanks to Twitter).
In this tutorial we’re going to focus on the most important aspect of your twitter account (one of them). This would be your profile or what some will call a Bio. This is the 1st thing people see when they stumble upon your account.
This is free real estate right here, this is where you want to explain to people who you are, and what they can expect from you. No fluff, no run ons … just get to the point, it’s like billboard space, you only have so much you can fit in.
Anyone with an internet connection has the capability of building a strong following/brand for themselves (or their business).
It simple to use, customize and it integrates (easily) with your smartphone as well as other social media platforms. I do most of my social media interaction while I’m on the move:
- Market Research
- Market Analysis
- Social Engagement
- List Building
- Finding Leads
- Lead Followup
You name it I’m doing it, and I’m doing so from the convenience of my Android.
Bad Twitter Profiles (Examples)
These profiles are not super bad, but they can differently be improved.
You have one that has an egg… AN EGG! Cmon! Show us a FACE! No seriously, when I see the egg it just reminds me of people with spammer accounts.
The other, has a nice picture and it has some mention of what she does. The problem is it’s vague. I would love to see a little more text here as well as a link to her website or YouTube channel…. something. Simply saying “singer” is like saying “I’m a salesman”….oook… what do you sale? See? No one should have to wonder.

Now this is a good twitter profile. It’s clear and to the point, I know exactly what he does and where I can contact him (aside from twitter) and his site works.

You made very good points here.
Even though my twitter accounts don’t have my face they have my logo that I use all across the internet.
This way I am establishing my brand and name.
Great move, I’ll have more tutorials posted soon.
